David Magidoff has paved a unique road, rising in Hollywood with a resume built off hosting, improv, and scripted television. The multi-hyphenate actor, writer, and producer is following up his role on AppleTV+'s Emmy, SAG and Critics Choice award-winning series "The Morning Show" with the highly anticipated Showtime series “Dexter: New Blood” as ‘Teddy Reed,’ a member of the 3-person police force in a small town in Upstate New York where Dexter now lives under an assumed name.

Having been named “one to watch” in the Hollywood comedy scene, David has blended his comedy, improv, and hosting skills on shows such as “Broke A$$ Game Show” on MTV giving out cash and pranking unsuspecting New Yorkers and hosting the Time magazine-awarded “App of the Year” and Best Mobile Game of the New York Game Awards viral hit "HQ Trivia". He was a series regular on MTV’s “Joking Off” alongside Desus and Mero and Awkwafina, among others, performing impromptu sketches with topics from a live studio audience, and describing himself as someone who “thrives in moments when calamity happens.”

David has also been making a name for himself in scripted television with a resume that boasts hits such as “Veronica Mars,” “ER,” “NCIS,” and “Lethal Weapon.” Most recently, he was seen in the award-winning
series “The Morning Show” with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon as TV writer ‘Nicky Brooks,’ who blows the whistle on an office romance and FX’s “American Crime Story: Impeachment” with Sarah Paulson.

Born and raised in New Jersey, David expressed his love for improv at just 14 years of age producing sold out comedy shows. He studied theater at the University of Southern California (USC), and was classically trained at the British American Drama Academy (BADA) with alumni that include Orlando Bloom and Chadwick Boseman. After graduation, he could be seen performing at Groundlings, Disneyland, UCB, and the Edinburgh Fringe Fest to name a few. David ran his own improv comedy class in Los Angeles, providing complimentary classes to aspiring performers, later expanding to Colorado, as well as reaching students overseas in New Zealand and England. He currently produces his own monthly live comedy show “Making Love with David Magidoff” where he takes a celebrity friend’s most embarrassing love story and turns it into an improvised musical on the spot. Guests have included Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), Moses Storm (Conan) and Anjelah Johnson (Comedy Central). He is also the co-host of the Fanaddicts Podcast with Clare Kramer, produced by Roddenberry Entertainment, where celebrities share their favorite obsessions. Upcoming guests will include Michael C. Hall, Tony Hale, and Tiffani Thiessen.

David is an avid collector of comic books, currently housing 4,000 in his collection. He supports Doctors without Borders and Compassion International. David is currently developing an autobiographical comedy pilot, KING DAVID, that investigates what we believe, what we inherit, and if you can ever really be just Jew-ish. He's also optioned an interior design makeover series for comedians with Scout Productions (QUEER EYE). His creative passion stems from a love to entertain and make people laugh, feel lighter, and be inspired, asking the question, "can it be real AND funny?"
